  • Flexible installation – Can be wall-mounted or installed horizontally, with piping installation possible on the left or right side

Overview

Hankison MH Series — Modular Heatless Desiccant Air Dryer delivers reliable low pressure dew point performance for moisture-sensitive compressed air systems. The MH Series is selectable for ISO 8573-1 performance (standard Class 2 at −40°C PDP and optional Class 1 at −70°C PDP), and covers small to mid-sized flows across a modular range (approx. 3–177 scfm).

Key benefits

  • ISO-rated dryness: selectable ISO 8573-1 performance — Class 2 (−40°C) standard, Class 1 (−70°C) optional.
  • Low purge & energy options: optional Energy Management System (EMS) and compressor interlock reduce wasted purge air and operating cost.
  • Modular & compact: multiple mounting and configuration options to fit tight plant spaces.
  • Connectivity & control: electronic control with tower status indicators and optional Modbus/RS-485 connectivity for BMS/SCADA integration.
  • Serviceability: easy-access valves and cartridge-style components reduce downtime for routine service.

How it works

The MH Series uses a twin-tower, heatless desiccant regeneration cycle. One tower dries the process air while a controlled portion of very dry air is throttled and used to purge and regenerate the offline tower. At the end of the cycle the towers change over and the regenerated tower resumes drying.

Typical applications

  • Laboratories and analytical equipment
  • Pharmaceutical production and clean utilities
  • Electronics and semiconductor assembly
  • Medical gas systems and instrument air
  • Any process requiring low humidity, condensate-free compressed air

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

What pressure dew points can the MH Series achieve?

The MH Series is selectable for ISO 8573-1 Class 2 (−40°C PDP) as standard, and optional Class 1 (−70°C PDP) for ultra-low dew point applications. Exact performance depends on inlet conditions and model selection.

How do I size the MH Series for my application?

Choose the model by required flow (scfm), inlet pressure, and inlet temperature. For critical processes we recommend contacting BVRG to arrange on-site compressed air testing (dew point & flow) so we can confirm correct sizing and pre-filtration needs.

What are the recommended pre-filters?

Use a coalescing pre-filter and a particulate after-filter to protect the desiccant and meet the expected dew point performance. The Hankison NGF filter family is commonly paired with the MH Series; see related products for filter options.

Can the MH Series be connected to a SCADA or BMS system?

Yes — optional Modbus/RS-485 connectivity is available for remote monitoring and integration with SCADA/BMS systems.
